NewsMarilyn Manson and Slayer announce double headlining tourMarilyn Manson and Slayer have announced a double-headlining tour, kicking off July 25 in Florida. Slayer's most recent release was 2006's 'Christ Illusion' while Manson is gearing up for the release of 'Eat Me, Drink Me' which is set for a June 5 release. The concert series, which also includes The Ponys, Tapes 'N Tapes, Long Winters, Voxtrot and Rogue Wave, benefits non-commercial US radio stations that offer independent programming. Participating radio stations include WLUW (Chicago), KTRU (Houston), KEXP (Seattle), Y-Rock On XPN (Philadelphia), KZSC (Santa Cruz), 89.3 The Current (Minneapolis), WERS (Boston), WKNC (Raleigh/Durham), WBWC (Cleveland) and KGNU (Boulder). Klaxons will kick off the series with a performance on Sunday (April 15) at the Urban Outfitters in Chicago. Next up are The Ponys in Lawrence, Kansas on April 24. Dinosaur Jr. are set to play Boston on June 11. The tour will hit 12 Urban Outfitters locations across the country, with dates in Los Angeles, Denver, Cleveland and New Haven, Connecticut to be determined.
